Scene Modification
Is carried out by five control menus:
Once the ArchiCAD VRML is optimized (Open vrml file) it can be edited with Vitruvian Studio as well as any other vrml file. With a real time feedback it is possible to:
- Add backgrounds and 360° panoramas - Backgrounds Tab
- Add and adjust light sources (omni, spot and directional) - Lights Tab
- Modify colours and textures set by CAD, replace them with other external ones, set their scale, inclination, transparency, brightness, vividness, apply the chromed effect on metal parts or the reflecting effect on shiny parts - Materials Tab
- Select, group, hide, unhide, remove scene elements - Geometry Tab
- Move, scale, round off scene elements (or group of elements) - Transform
- Improve surface quality: crease angle tuning to create a smooth look - IndexedFaceSet
- Apply sensors to doors to simulate their opening when the camera passes - Door
- Activate/deactivate objects (group of objects) according to the position of the camera - SimpleLOD
- Insert "Anchors", i.e. transform any elements (or group of elements) to hyperlinks to other media such us text, sounds, movies, images, web pages, vrml worlds - Anchor
- Memorise and name any number of dynamic viewpoints from which the user might wish to view the scene - Camera Tab
- Set field of view, height above terrain, speed of navigation, visibility limit and collision detection of the camera - ExtraViewpoint
- Set the types of navigation allowed: walk, fly, slide, examine, any...- ExtraViewpoint
- Add external vrml files (inline)- Inline
